Abstract

This paper presents one of the three manuscripts in Chrysantine notation, written in Greek, from the Cipariu fund of the Romanian Academy Library, Cluj-Napoca branch, establishing the typology to which it belongs – that of a kalophonikon heirmologion. Based on the specialized bibliography as well as on the direct comparison with the autograph manuscript of Gregorios Protopsaltes, we can conclude that the manuscript was probably written shortly after the original. Given that its typology was erroneously determined, the manuscript does not appear in the recent research on the kalophonikon heirmologion.
